Michelle D. Wallis

Compassionate, yet assertive, I am an excellent advocate to have on your side as you tackle complex legal matters. I have an extensive and well-rounded legal background, as well as a clear commitment to representing my clients’ best interests.

Academic History

Prior to embarking on my legal career, I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Soon after, I attended the California Western School of Law in San Diego, CA.

Professional Background

Upon graduating from law school, I worked at the King County District Attorney’s Office. I then spent several successful years with the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office. I wanted a new challenge and soon joined the Office of the Inspector General. After a while I decided it was time to go out on my own and I opened my own practice.

Having worked both as a defense attorney and a deputy district attorney, I offer a unique and valuable perspective on the complex legal matters my clients face. My unique background has garnered a variety of important connections in the legal community, which I regularly utilize in the interest of streamlining my clients’ journey through the court process.

Practice Areas

My law firm primarily handles family and criminal matters. Often, the two practice areas overlap, especially in cases involving domestic violence. As a criminal defense attorney, I offer aggressive representation for those who risk lengthy sentences behind bars. I help my valued clients gain custody of their children, file restraining orders, and modify custody or support agreements. My knowledge, experience, and background helps both criminal and family law clients get the best possible outcome for their situation
